Easter

The kids loved Easter this year. We decided to make it our family tradition to do Easter on Saturday. Its easier and keeps the sacred meaning behind Easter special and more meaningful on Sunday.
They woke up found the bunny trail to Parleys basket and a note that told them they are old enough to find their baskets now without a trail. They took off to find thier treasures. Brookies was behind and under the table Kylers was in his room in his hamper.
They also found a note that told them to go out to the garage for the rest of their present....they found two perfect full grown bunnys. They named them Hopper (brookies) and Thumper (Kylers) Thumper really thumps his foot oftem. Hopper, runs away. :)
We spent some time coloring eggs and then had a egg hunt at Grandma Jo's house and jumped into the Can Ams and rolled eggs. The kids still today (yes this is a catch up post and its July) still talk about rolling eggs and coloring them and how its no fair it only happens once a year. :)

Brookyn fell asleep on the way back....so uncomfortable!! Kyler helped her lay on his lap but it woke her up.
This kid...Celery and a tractor. Heaven.

Camera Clean Up

So to finish catching myself and my families happenings we are doing one massive camera clean up...this is Jan-Feb of this year.

We have a great elderly widow that lives right behind us. She is wonderful. I enjoy the nice weather cause she will come out and talk with me while the kids play. She has a beautiful yard and has great tips for me and how to care for mine. She once was a florist. During the summer she would cut flowers for the kids from her garden ever single day. That's big stuff cause I have 8 kids here everyday. Ky and Brookie love to go over and she reads stories with them, plays little games with them. They adore her. We also deliever fresh eggs to her every week. In return she almost always bakes us a angel food cake and custard. She says she uses her frozen eggs for the treats and loves to just eat the eggs we bring her. Love her. These are pictures of Ky running her eggs over. I wanted to document it. Cause she gives him a dollar for his mission fund every time.
For Christmas we got an Ipad and Kyler loves it. He isn't super addicted. I see other kids who are sucked in for hours on end. A) I would never let that happen B) I would never ever let that happen C) he does loose interest after about 30 minutes. And if not the app we use will make him stop at 45 minutes. :)
Anyway the other Saturday morning he came in at 7AM and we were not ready to be up and at um. So I handed him the pad and this is where I found him when I got up. All cuddled in a blanket playing his favorite temple run.
When we were in Grover for my mom and Gaylens homecoming we had Kim snap a picture for us. Love that place, love this family!

Ky is a great big brother. He was reading stories to Parley and Brookie the other day. It melted my whole heart.

If you need to know one simple thing about Brookie then it will need to be she loves Pizza. If I ever ask her what we should have for dinner it is always without a doubt pizza. If we ask what she wants when we go out to dinner, its Pizza. This is slightly inconvenient for us cause Ky hates pizza and throws a fit when she mentions it. And it makes me sick too....but we have it for lunch often with daycare. They get to make their own on top of Rhodes rolls. Her favorite day, every time. They get to choose the toppings and how much. Hers is always a mile high. (Kys is spaghetti sauce and pineapple)
She may hate me someday for blogging this, but it cracks and grosses me out enough I feel I need to share. :) For at least the last 6 months if not longer she stuffs her precious nigh nigh (blanket) down her pants or up her shirt or both every. single. night. I don't know if it is so she doesn't loose it, cause this is a fear of hers. So its as close to her skin as she can get it. I don't know. I will never know. Brandon blames a book that talked about a little mouse boy Owen whose parents wanted to take his blankey away cause he was too old for it, so to protect it he shoved it in his clothing. I don't think she catches on that well, and ive never threatened to take it away,  but That's Brandons philosophy. :)

While we are talking Brookie. She loves to wash hands, over and over and over and over and over and over. I put a fausett that is harder to turn in the bathroom cause she was flooding it so badly every day, so now she has to use the kitchen sink which is much easier to monitor. Water loving girl.
Brooklyn is playing with dolls!!!!! Oh this brings me so much joy. For so long she would just kick them around and throw them at people. But one little friend that comes here for daycare loves her baby. Treats it so well, and tried to take her babies once. Since then, Brooklyn is protective of her babies. She trys to keep them warm and put them to bed. This particular day she was trying to put them to bed in my drawers. They didn't fit. She was mad.
She also loves my Tupperware cabinet. She pulls it all out, reorganizes it and such. I have given up hope on ever being able to have a semi organized Tupperware.
She also loves Lala Loopsie and Minnie mouse. This day she had the Minnie Mouse costume on and playing Lala Loopsies. Then had a major melt down that makes me laugh. She pokes her eyes, makes her face so sad, trying to get her point of sadness across. This gal will be powerful when she is older. She has a plan, and knows to to achieve it!
I caught Kyler trying to button up his Sunday shirt the other day. It was darling. He was focused so hard. Way to go Ky, only bummer was it was skee wampus.

The finished product of his dressing efforts displayed with his beautiful sister. He always tells her how pretty she is. Which is important when she wears that dress cause its everyones favorite in the family.....except hers. She prefers the purple one. :)
Just a few fun ones of them and their daycare friends....we have great friends. We are blessed.
Brookie is Miss Indepentant to the T. She wanted to get in the swing herself. She had a mishap and was stuck she was giggling as she yelled for help. She thought it was so funny.
Oh how we loved the mild, so so mild and warm and wonderful weather in January. Kyler pulled out his T-ball set and went to town. He kept asking when he gets to be on a team....not for a while bud...its still winter!!
Kyler loves his huge semi he got for Christmas. He lvoes horses and we don't have a million normal ones, but happen to have a million my little ponies. He donest care that they are pink and purple and sparkely. They are bucking broncos going to the rodeo.
Brookie is a builder. She builds tall tall towers that don't fall down. She has great problem solving skills. Not from her mom, that is a daddy skill. :)

Shre loves to swing. Loved that warm weather too.
She found my glasses the other day and wouldn't take them off. Silly dress up girl.
The other day in Costco the kids rode like this. Parley was asleep in the top part and they giggled and giggled the whole time. I have never received more comments on my darling happy kids. As I did that day. People were entertained by them that's for sure.
They love their new tramp. So do I!!
Brookie riding her new Lala Loospie bike.

Last but not least them at Grandma and Grandpa Childs on New Years Eve. The one and only picture I took that night....they were watching Spirit...Kylers favorite.
