Favorite Color and Paper Eater

I would really like to be better about blogging...not for sake to read up on us, but cause this is my one and only journal. Now you know how bad of a journaler i am.....
But for today i am going to make a quick post about the color green and yummy yummy paper.

Brooklyn gets the Paper Eater Title.

This girl eats and loves paper. What the HECK! Books, diapers, plain old paper, napkins, books, more books. Today though we are highlighting her new found love...the paper plate. She found one the kids dropped and went to town...makes her so happy....make mom sick and mad...she is destroying my books. And i laugh at it at the same time. This is an all new experience. Kyler never ate paper, never chewed on a book, never ingested paper in any form. Just another example how 2 kids can come from the same parents and be soo completely different. :)

And why Green you ask.....

This picture is not completely green i know, but he was soo proud of it. And i bet it would have been all green but he didnt find the green marker until after he started with the others. He is all about green since yesterday. :) He old Favorite Color was orange, like daddy's tractor. But now, for whatever reason green is the coolest, most bestest color in the whole wide world. At lunch today he says to me, ""mommy i need the gwreeen one(cup), cause its my favowite color. Only the gwreeen one, preeese!" He is such a character. I love that he has "favorites" makes him seem all grown up. Really such a double edged sword, i love that he is getting to be so fun to talk to and his imaginaion is awesome, but at the same time that means he is growing up and that is hurting my heart...please stay little Ky. Please. So for today his favorite color is green. Who knows what tomorrow will bring. :)

Its Chirstmas Time

Two posts in one day, so keep scrolling down to see the update on Brooklyn
I love Christmas. This Christmas im a little slow on doing lots of fun activities with my kids. We paint lots of pictures and stuff, But as for Christmas activities i am slacking. Next year i will be all prepped and ready, and Kyler will appreciate them a lot more next year anyway. As of this far in the season we have
Decorated our tree...Ky only lasted a few minutes. Bummer.
Ate some Christmas tree peeps. (he was happy, i just didn't catch the happy face, just the "im in pain with how many pictures you want to take mom" look)
Brooklyn helped make the marshmallow garland...or more helped eat some of the marshmallows and kept diving down to get another taste. :)
One of the finished garlands. Thanks to marshmallow companies for making fun designed marshmallows this year!! Snowman, gingerbread man and peppermint marshmallows with an occasional Christmas tree peep
Ky had a slight come-UN-glue when he sat on Santa's lap...Thanks Macady for taking up there!!
A little more calm when daddy came with Brookie, but still too nervous to take his finger out of his mouth or look at mom. On the brighter side Brooklyn could care less about who was holding her, as long as someone does. :)

Seven Months

Is it bad that i never did another update between these two. Ya it is, i plan on being better. :)

Brooklyn had her 6 month checkup at about 6 1/2 months, so i am adding it to this post. As of 11/28/11Her
Head is 17 inches 69%tile
Weight is 19.5 lb 88%tile
Length is 28 inches 98%tile (YIKES she will outgrow her brother soon!!) :)

She is wearing 18 month clothes. This breaks my heart. My babies just dont stay little long enough.
She is a spoiled little lady whom we love with all our hearts.
Kyler refers to her as "My sissster" and wants to hold her play with her, talk to her all day long. She is more like his little toy than his "sissy" :)
Mom and dad's nickname for her most frequently used is "Pretty Girl" we cant help it, she is so pretty.
She is eating like a mad man these days. Last month we couldnt get her to eat solids if her life depended on it...now she is all for the foods!! Her favorites beeing grahmn crackers...and she accually chews them up. She loves her little net food feeder thing...she big into feeding herself. But, she will still let you feed her too, which is nice. She loves avacado, bananas, beans, sweet potatoes and squash....ok really she hasnt up and refused anything up to this point.

She is drinking pretty well from a sippy cup too. I have mostly only given her water, apple juice once, and she loves that cup.
I think she is getting some signs...like "all done" for this instead of doing it the right way she slams both hands on her tray over and over. We get the point. :)
She doenst babble at all. This concerns me. She mostly just yells and does long aaaaaaaaa's. I know every kid does things differntly, so by saying im concerned doesnt mean i am freaking out....just wish i could her her babble a little more.
She is a good baby and will fall asleep in her crib if you lay her in there (most of the time) When she is tired she isnt real big into snuggling, she arches her back and tries her hardest to get away and get her space...this is when she gets put in her crib with her mobile and she will put herself to sleep.
She loves taking baths with big brother....she giggles the whole time. Scares the crap out of me often though cause she is a champ at sitting up, but for some reason in the tub she gets harebrained ideas to flip back. Panic attacks quiet frequently on my part. Coughing attacks frequently on her part. I think i need to find something like a bath chair for her, the bumbo doesn't work...it floats. :(

She is still not exactly sleeping through the night. She can, and does maybe once or twice a week. The rest of the time she wakes up about 2 or 3. Its ok, i love her anyway. :)
She is rolling allover the place. She loves that she can get around. She loves Kylers toys. Not a big fan of baby toys.
