Another month older
I read a friends blog the other day and it was all about how fast time is flying. I have to agree with her 100%. Where does time go...i believe into my little boys body and brain.....because they are growing like a weed!
He turned 14 months last week...and while big monumental stuff to announce are getting few and far between i still like to do this so i remember what was going one...like my own ages and stages reference for my next kids, and i plan to make a book when he is 2 of his first 2 years accomplishments/likes/dislikes/etc.
So without further adu:
He is WALKING...now i must say not all the time, but he will walk and take steps like a champ now a days. We went camping last weekend and for 3 days he pushed and ran behind a Tonka Truck and his little 4-wheeler which much have done this boy some good, cause on Sunday when we got home we tried, like we usually do, to get him to walk to me or Brandon and he actually did it!! What a seriously happy day! Makes my heart happy and sad at the same time. My baby isn't so "baby" anymore. What happened! Just last year he was little enough to pack in one arm, now he is ready to walk on his own.
He is FINALLY eating better. I talked to a nurse the other day at the health department and she said he is low on Iron, which is common in children who drink lots of milk...ya he drinks lots. I guess he is filling up on calories from the milk so he doesn't want to eat. Duh! Why didn't this thought cross my mind?? So this week i have cut WAYYYYY back on milk...he only needs 16 oz so that is all he has been getting until he eats his meal. Holy Smokes what a difference! I am not saying this is a fix all, but it really helped around our house. He is eating like he used to, which is just what this mommy needed!!
While we are talking about eating here is a not all inclusive list, but a start on what he likes/dislikes
Likes: LOVES blueberries(he will eat so many they stain his bum), hot dogs, baloni, any fruit, and any veggie ( i am spoiled i know) He loves cracker, and string cheese. Yogurt is a favorite along with cottage cheese
Dislikes: Bread, its really hard for me to get him to eat a sandwich, eggs in any way shape or form, pancakes...there might be more but i am not remembering them
He is a gabber. whenever we are driving, which is often, he just talks and talks and talks. He is always making sound, weather is is a truck sound, train sound, squeels, or jabbers. He hasnt learned any new words lately, but for how much he jabbers, i am sure when he does learn to talk it will be constant.
His Favorite toys are: His rocking dog, walk/ride John Deere Tractor, His 4-wheeler, and his little people barn. (or any other toy that the kids i am watching have in thier hands...he is not so good at sharing yet.)
I think that is all for now.

Nothin But Tail Lights
So tonight, after seeing this brother:
For the first time since December, such a happy happy day....
We were driving back from "Up North" us small Southern towns reference to Provo area or SLC....this time we are referenceing Provo, where we met up with Chase for dinner.
Onto the real reason for this post, although seeing Chase was the major highlight, and the amazing Mexican food we found being second...making this third...but VERY mentionable....
Dun Dun Dun....
I figured in just the 3 years we have been married we have spend a month and a half driving!!!!! HOLY CRAP thats a lot!! It makes me quite ill to think i have wasted that much time on the road...i think i need to come up with a road hobby that allows me to feel as though i am not wasting my life away on the road, but using it wisley....only catch, i have to be able to watch the road all the time or i get car sick...big problem. :)
Oh well i just thought i would share with the world the sick truth that we have wasted that much time between two solid lines...pathetic...but a way of life...a way of life i don't think i would trade to live in the big city.

Summer Catchup
So I have a bunch of pictures on my camera that i need to share with our summer trips...so this may be long...warning you!
First off:
Ky LOVES his little pool
latley he loves to play in water...if he finds a puddle he must splash, if he hears water turn on he wants to put his hands in it, and when i fill up his pool he first just splashes then after he has gotten his fill of that, will crawl in and play right in the pool. :)
Next:
Memorial Day...yes i know how far behind i ham
We went up to Palisades Park and had a BBQ some fished, the rest of us just sat around and talked, or played on the playground. here are some cute pictures from that night.
Next: Burton Campout
Tons of pictures, so my favorites i will do single the rest are in the collage.
My whole life we have had the Burton Campout with all my moms brothers and sisters and thier kids. It is a special most favorite time of the summer for me. When we were little it was filled with building forts, crafts, dirt, mud, water and the like.....now its full of chasing my kid around in the dirt, mud and water! :) Oh and a little R&R and catching up with my cousins. We are all really close, so the campout provies us a chance to fiannly catch up now that we dont see eachother weekly at Grandmas house like we did when we were young.
Sad note from Kylers first time camping this year....he got 9 slivers all of which we had to remove, 2 we had to actually dig out. Poor boy. Thanks to an awesome Uncle Ross for being so sweet to remove the one in his hand, it was really deep and Kyler screamed the whole time, which then resulted in an awesome nap and gave mom time to read :)
Sad note from Kylers first time camping this year....he got 9 slivers all of which we had to remove, 2 we had to acually dig out. Poor boy. Thanks to an awesome Uncle Ross for being so sweeet to remove the one in his hand, it was really deep and Kyler screamed the whole time, which then resulted in an awesome nap and gave mom time to read :)
Also big news at the camp-out....Maddy Joy lost her first tooth!! She was sitting in my lap eating her popcorn when she realized it had come out...she literally panicked, cried and cried until Grandma Nancy miraculously found that tiny tooth in her popcorn bag, what is the chances that she didnt 1. swallow the tiny thing or 2 loose it on the floor!? Dont know, but she was one dang happy little girl all night waiting to see if the tooth fairy would find her while camping...it did...she got $1....i think over time the tooth fairy has increased his rate...i dont think i got a dollar!!!!
One night we had a "minute to win it" compition....these are just so fun....this is why i love my family!!
one is where Jake and Bryan had to get an Oreo from their forehead into thier mouth:
This one Grandpa and Haley had to knock over bottels with tights on thier head with a ball in the bottom:
and another Brandon and Scott had to unroll crape paper by spinning their arms:
There were more, but i didn't catch them.....so fun!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then when we got home Saturday we imediatly regrouped and left again in 30 minutes time to go boating with Brandons parents (when putting on Kylers swim suit is when i found 3 more slivers in his poor knees, one of which Brandon had to dig out, thus resulting in screams and followed by yet another amazing nap)
So back to boating...Brandon is a champ...without much effort on his part he can pop right up on a knee board, much to his 2 brothers dismay. They had a hard time getting up and took SEVERAL tries and lots of coaching from thier big bro to get them up. Then he pops right up on the wake board, too. What a show-off...a cute show-off that is! :)
Then to the monumental news...................I GOT UP on the wake board!! I have tried my whole life...YW activities, friends taking me out, other family taking me out, and none have resulted in sucess...but Brandons parents boat is the lucky one...after 4 or 5 tries...
Well there is an update...hopefully i will keep up to date a little bit better
