Spring Picture Wrap Up

In effort to catch up on blog posts im going to combine a bunch of pictures and do a short write up on them. These are all from April/May of this year
Parely Loves to color. We just tape a paper to his try and give him the wonderful invention of twistable crayons and he will scribble for 10 minutes! I think thats impressive considering he is only barely a year old in this picture!
Our sweet sweet girl has given up nap time. She doesn't NEED need one, But still needs one. Transitions are hard, especially this one for me. Ky was still taking a good 1.5-2 hour nap till he was almost 4. Because of the missing nap, slumber does take over eventually, and She will crash hard. Usually in the car, even on short grocery trip rides, but for her to fall asleep at home isn't rare or unexpected. The thing is she doesn't lay down and get comfy even with moms encouragement. She finds  herself in uncomfortable strange places when sleep finds her.
She was dosing on the back hard part of the couch...I can think of 101 more comfortable places. She is even dressed up like a monkey/Deigo. :)
She most defiantly needs quiet time, and daycare doesn't always allow for peaceful quiet time. This particular day she invited herself into my room and called for an ipad. I gave in. She needed the alone time. She isn't my social butterfly and when she is tired its a recipe for disaster if the kids keep bugging her.
This was one Sunday after church....she was OUT
Even falls asleep in her snack
She likes laying down for "nap" in our bed. If i cant find her during quiet time, i usually find her asleep under my covers. This particular day i caught her just before she fell asleep. So comfy.
Parely Jake loves his wagon. He loves rides in it the most to feed chickens and the dog. But pushing it is great fun too.
Dear babysitter....taking pictures with my camera is fine. Taking pictures of the kids doing things they aren't supposed to (like hanging on the netting around the tramp) is trouble! :) They love our sitter. She is really like a big sister to them. I thought it was cute she took pictures of them. Thats what we get when my camera is always laying out.
Pars is a boy. A sandbox digging playing boy. Its where he heads when we go outside (that is if the little power wheels are put away and he doesn't see them first)

Like i mentioned above. The power wheels are his absolute favorite. He has acually since these pictures learned to make it go all by himself. Dangerous. He sure loves the rides his bro and sis give though....they can go fast and crazy.
Parely loves Kyler and Kyler adores Parley. This was a bad sick fevering day (which are common) for poor Boo. He didnt want me. He wiggled to get away. But i layed him on his brothers lap and he stayed there for 15 minutes. Sweet Brothers.
He has no fear and sticky feet :) He got all the way to the top! I just couldn't take a picture, i needed to at least spot him so he didn't die if he fell. Why do my kids have to be so fearless at such a young age?
No caption needed. I love this baby and his love of drinking water.

This is Par Pars favorite play place...the pantry with the granola bars and my appliances. Specifically the rice cooker. Entertains him the whole time i cook dinner!
Again...i would like a fearful child :) It would make chores like vacuuming much much quicker. I have to run away from him so he doesn't get sucked up (i know it happens...Kylers fingers got skinned by the beater bar once. It broke my heart, and i refuse to let it happen again.)

Parely Leatherwood and Parley Childs...best buddys
Ive put off letting Parley feed himself SOOO much longer than the other two. I didn't want the mess. So sad, Ive let myself become that mom! I finally gave up and he is a champion now. I feel horrible i didn't let him earlier. This was the first day i gave him an actual spoon with messy food, like apple sauce.
Cutest cargo on this truck ive ever seen!! He planted himself there and tried to scoot the truck.

I got out of the shower to this sight...my happiness in life.
  Big boy eating a sucker.

Kyler My Boy is 5

Oh what a boy you are Kyler. There is so much tied up into your personality that its hard to pinpoint exactly who you are in one word. On Facebook the other day it asked to describe your oldest child in 5 or fewer words. It was hard. You are the most nurturing, loving, tender hearted boy, mixed with a flare of stubbornness, attitude, and humor. You make friends easily, and need friends to be around, or you feel lost. You love to make people laugh, but hate it when people laugh at you. It breaks your heart. You are the sweetest big brother ever. You most of the time help without a second thought. Your favorite it to help with Parley though, and your looking forward to the new baby too.
You have started doing baby talk all day long, and it isn't moms favorite thing. You always want to be the baby when playing house, or the baby puppy, baby colt, or any other baby animal. You. love. babies.
You LOVE and by love i mean love horses. You want to be a horse rider when you grow up. You hide a western horsemen magazine in your drawer so no one could ruin or touch it. You take horses very serious, and that is the books we get at the library lately. Facts about horses.
Your best friends are Gus Albrecht and Kelsen Hansen. But are not limited to them. Your a friend to everyone. Boy or girl.
You have started being afraid at night. For about a month it took serious convincing from mom and dad that a monster had not peed in your bed, and that it was cold, not because it was wet, but because of the A/C. It still comes up from time to time, and its a nerve racking thing for you. Poor buddy!
You are the best to help our family do family prayer and scripture study. You demand that we do it.
You are always so willing to do chores. In fact you enjoy it and ask for them. Mom loves that.
You love your daddy and want to be by his side, especially when he is working on things outside.
You love your animals. Your bunnies, Chickens and dog. You try hard to remember to take care of them, and just a tiny reminder and your out caring for them. Mom thinks you should be a vet someday.
Taking the first bite out of the cake

Overall Bud, Your are the perfect boy. Rough tough play hard outside loving boy mixed with compassion for others and the desire to help and nurture. You have a gift. I so look forward to watching you grow up and develop that gift.

Candles on your requested lunch...Peanut butter and honey sandwiches. You and Kelsen share a bday!
You got the sand tractor from Grandma Nancy and you loved it....so did daycare. :)

Love you Ky Ky

Preschool Graduate

Kyler has loved Preschool. He adored his teachers Miss Jen and Miss Shalese. They had the most darling graduation program, and Kyler loved performing. So proud of him. He is so smart, loves to learn, and always has a smile about it.
It made me so sad to see him so big and graduating. My baby boy is off to kindergarten.

He is a stinker about taking pictures lately......
Such a handsome kid when i can get him to smile!
