Parley Jake is 18 Months

The two on the left:its annoying when mom wants to take pictures. He had such attitude this time when i took pictures. It was entertaining.
My little curly top boy turned 18 months. We enjoy this happy little critter. He is a complete joy to have around. Putting all his health concerns aside. You could never find such a funny happy little dude.
He loves to tease. He gets the most adorable wrinkled nose when he thinks he is funny. Its the cutest.
He loves to love. He is the best kisser and snuggler out there. He loves to hold his little brother and loves to be snuggled by his big brother.
He wants to do everything his older siblings do.
He is finally growing, we think :) He did up up on the growth charts this time, instead of down, so thats a positive we will take.
He throws the best temper tantrums of all the kids. He will hit and punch furniture scream at the top of his lungs and run around till he falls and then roll around. Its horrible and hilarious at the same time.
He still doesn't talk too much. His vocabulary consists still of mom, dad, Ky, Sadie, Nana (which is a sippy and his blanket and a banana) "wassat" whats that, NO, Mine, and that about does it. The rest is communicated with a high shrill scream that I could probably do without. I pray he catches up with his language development now he can hear better. I pray. Everyday.
He is a horrible eater. Thanks to a constant sore throut for months and month until he got his tonsils out and then a sore throut from that. He chews up his food, sucks off the juices, and then spits it out. Its disgusting and frustrating. Some days he does better than others. He gets most of his calories from Pediasure and whole milk. He favorite food is fried eggs, yogurt, apple sauce, and any fruit. He like crackers too.
We still spoil him rotten and rock him to bed most nights. Ok most nights he is still pretty awake when he goes down, but i never just set him in bed and let him put himself to bed like i did the older two. He gets his rockin time wheather by mommy or daddy (nap or bedtime) it happens 2 times a day.
He ADORES his daddy. Love his Great Grandpa Burton, whom he bonded with while he stayed with Grandma Nancy when Blake was born. Now if he hears his voice on facetime calls to Grandma he comes a running to see his Great Grandpa. Its heart warming. He loves his Papa Childs lately too. I think he loves men in general.
His dark eyes, curley hair, adorable face have many wrapped around his little finger.
We adore this kid. He is our Boo, Pars, Parley Jake, and ParJay. We'd be lost and bored without his sparkling personality!!
His stats:
Weight 21.8 LB 14%
Height: 31.6 " 21st
Head Circ 18.5" 38%

The sweetest ever. Parley wanted to hold Blake I went to had him to him and he layed down so i put Blakey next to him. He reached over and grabbed his hand and they both layed still for 5 minutes this way. Precious. I often think they were buddies in heaven and Blakey couldn't wait any longer to be with his brother, so he took matters into his own hands and got himself down to earth the be with his brother.
Parley and Parley having a jolly good time in a big ol box
Dead out cold with his mouth open and all.
The other day he pulled out the chair gathered his cup and a book and sat himself down for a good book and snack. It was adorable.
This is where and how he hangs out while i do my makeup and hair.

Blakey is TWO months

Its November! Holy Smokes! Where has this year gone. Where did the last 2 months go? Our sweet Blakey is 2 whole months old today. 2. wow that was fast.

Our sweetest boy is truly a blessing. He has blessed our family with so much love. The kids, all 3 of them, adore this new baby brother. True child-like love. He is smothered in kissed and squeezed tightly 100 times a day. I cant say that one kid loves him more than the other. Brooklyn asks all day to hold him. She kisses his cheeks and has begged to hold him standing up with no help until i caved. She is strong and holds tightly. :) Kyler is a true helper big brother. He also enjoys a good cuddle with Blakey, but is more of my helper with Parley and the house so i can care for his baby brother. Parley, he gives his adorable "head loves" where he leans his head into Blake. He does this all. day. long. He slobbery kisses his cheeks and head. He even beggs to hold him. Today, it was the most precious moment Ive seen in a long while. He asked to snuggle with him, layed down like Brookie does with him and held him for 15 minutes. No joke. He held his hand and just enjoyed his baby brother. I truly feel like these two brothers were besties in heaven and Blakey sent Parley ahead to get a head start where he was so unhealthy there for a bit. Then Blake made his surprise entrance.

Our sweet Blakey
*sleeps a lot. Just like all the others. Sleeps the majority of the day away still and then sleeps pretty good at night. I really cant complain one ounce.
*He is a somber child. Not mad, sad, nor happy, cheerful. I have to work like the dickens to get a smile out of him and then its short lived and impossible to catch on camera.
*He loves patty cake, this is when i get his only smiles.
*He is chubbing out nicely. Such a chubby good boy
*He is a great traveler, just like all his siblings. We dont give them a change not to be. He just sleeps the whole entire time.
*He takes a bottle, when needed. I had to pump and dump for 24 hours this month, and then had to attended a 5 hour class. Both times he took bottles with ease. Some were even formula and he didn't mind.
*He has loved his binki until recently. He is starting to fight it. We will see how long it lasts, im not a dedicated binki putter back inner, so they usually dont get it once they start fighting it.
*He doenst mind tummy time, as long as its short. He either falls asleep or starts grunting and crying if I leave him too long.
*He is a NOISY sleeper! I cant wait to get him in his own room, but then i worry he will wake Parley. He is the loudest grunter ever. I never heard such a loud sleeper.

We adore this babe. He is loved to the moon and back. We are grateful he is part of our family. He is a special boy, i can tell already.

His 2 month stats:

Welcome Blake Roy

Well I'm finally sitting down to introduce my precious Blakey to the blog.
He was born Sept. 3 at 1:22PM and has been a perfect blessing since.

His birthday:
We were scheduled for an induction for Wednesday Sept 3rd. We decided to come up to SLC and stay the night so we could be right close when they called to tell us to come in. For the other 3 we have gone in 7AM or before so I assumed it would be the same this time. We slept at Luke and Hils and they called and told me to expect a call anywhere between 7-9AM to tell me when to come. WHAT! So late. But I hoped it would be sooner. Nope. We woke up at 7, showered got ready and headed out for some breakfast while we waited. We got some bagels, cream cheese, and did a little shopping while we waited. Finally they called and told us to come in at 9:30-9:45AM. Blah. We got there at 9:30 But didn't get into a room till 10. They admitted me got the Pitocin running through me. Dr Terry came in at 11:15 broke my water and then asked what time id like to have the baby :) I replied 1:00PM. He laughed and told my i was being a little unrealistic, i told him he asked i told him, i wanted 1:00. Well long (not really) story short. . . they got me my epidural just before noon. And from then on it was a whirlwind. At one point the nurse came in and had me roll onto my side, in a panic. I asked why, (i felt fine) and Blake was in major distress. I panicked. and then she had me roll to the other side. He calmed down. She said i had dilated from a 4 to a 9 in 30 minutes. So she called the dr. He came down, got all set up and i delivered my "linebacker" in Dr Terrys words. He weighed 8LB 10OZ 20 inches long. He was just perfect.

These two pictures mean the world to me. Why. That man in the scrubs. There are few. FEW. Drs like him. He does what he does becaue He loves it. He is so good at it. Makes me feel 100% calm and safe in my pregnancys. He is so wonderful. So many people ask why in the world id drive 2 hours North to deliver when i pass great drs and hospitals all along the way. Dr Terry is why. Really unless he has been your dr you dont know why someone would do such a thing. I feel so blessed to have him as a friend. He delivered me. He is my moms dr too. He knows me, my family, and loves us all. How many drs would take the time to sit and chat to 3 of his 4 babies(Ky was still in school) he has delivered on a busy day. Not many i dare say. So happy to have him be a part of such special sacred days. He is what a real dr is. Caring, humble, loving, confident, and knowledgeable. In order of what is really important to me.
We hate hospital stays. He had no issues like blood sugar issues like the others did. So we packed up and were outta there and home the next day. Phew. Grandma Nancy had the kids for the weekend so we came home and just rested. Then Brock (Blakes cousin) was born the next day. So we took a quick trip to meet him Friday. We drove to Grover to get Ky for school Sunday. And Brookie and Parley stayed with Grandma Nancy till Tuesday.
I loved the quiet and cuddles.

Brookie Meeting Blake for the first time. She got to meet him in the labor and delivery room.
Ky meeting him up in the room.

We did introduce Parley to him, but this is the best picture of that event. It was quick....Blake was Brand new and Parley was like a bull in a china closet in that room. :)

Blakes first bath, Finally late that night, around 9:30PM by daddy. After having 3 kids, he is a champion newborn bather.
Ya know that song "Daddys Hands" Thats why i think about here. Precious.
Hilarie and the kids stopped to meet Blake on their way to the Ogden Temple Open House.
I love his thoughtful eyes while staring up at his daddy.
Ready to go home!
At his 2 week check he was back to 8LB 9OZ. And now (he is 6 weeks while I'm writing this) is as chubby as can be. We weighed him yesterday on his blessing day and is up to 13LBs at 6 weeks!!
He is such a good baby. Content to just hang out in his sister lap, he loves to snuggle up into my neck. He prefers to sleep with me at night, but i don't love that. So we compromise. One feeding a night i usually do in bed and let him snuggle and sleep with me for about 2 hours. The rest of the night he is in his bed. I'm spoiling him! :)
Here is photo overload of this babys first month here:

First real bath at home

Blake born Sept 3 his cousin Brock born Sept 5
I was so worried about Parley not being good with another baby in the house. Oh no, he adores him and constantly is giving hugs and loves to him. Its like they were buddys in heaven and he was just waiting for his arrival.
Blakes first walk...oh my goodness i have FOUR kids!

relaxing at Petersen Family Farms corn pit

Brock and Blake
I had lost a part to the tub that holds the newborn up out of the water. I finally found it, making his bathtime so relaxing. He fell right to sleep. Precious baby.

This sister adores her "bruder" and holds him as much as she can.
One week old
One of my all time favorite pictures. She was out cold holding her one week old baby

Aunt Missy MADE that adorable bear. I am in love with it!

His blessing was yesterday Oct 19. It was a beautiful day from the weather, blessing, and family being gathered together. Uncle Chase and Aunt Missy just happened to be in town for an interview in Logan the next day. So they surprised me that morning. It was such a wonderful surprise. I had just been sad that morning that we couldn't all be together, and miracle of miracles Dad, Jake, and Quinn set it up so we could all share Blake's special arrival and blessing.

Photo Bomb...look at Blakes face..he gets a little scared when parley comes charging his way

Overall this baby is perfect. He is so happy. Sleeps so well. There have been a couple nights he will sleep 6 hours, eat for 15 minutes and then back out for 4 hours. He is chubby and i adore him. He has his first cold and I'm praying he doesn't get an ear infection with it. :( Guess he is bound to be sick with 3 older siblings coughing and having snotty noses. He has given 2 smiles in his life and both were very hard to get. He loves his Binky, which is new and welcome in my world. Ive never had a baby take a Binky and he takes it really well for us. YEA!

Blakey we love you so much. We look forward to seeing the boy you will become and then the man. I feel like you are destined for great things and needed to come to this world right here and now to accomplish your mission in life. Your a great wise spirit I'm sure of it. I'm blessed to be your mom. Love you Mr. B.
