Canning~Camping~Temple~Basket fun!

So here is the latest:
Monday me, my sister-in-law and mom-in-law put up 37 quarts of apricot nectar! We should be set for a while. :) It got really really hot, but we got it done in my little kitchen with no a/c and no widows that can open! I feel for those early canners who did so much with out fans, a/c, or windows that opened! :)
Yesterday me and Ky had fun taking pictures again....poor kid
Last week we went camping up to Fairview at my families cabin with all of Brandon's moms family. We had a blast! I didn't take lots of pictures but here are a few to document that i am not lying. :)
Last Tuesday we drove up to Salt Lake and had a BBQ with my family. It was so fun to see everyone again all at the same time. We missed Chase, he had to stay in Vermont for Med School, but Missy and Enoch were there. Its so different to have little monkeys all over when we get together. Amazing how fast we all grow up and start families. We had our little BBQ, and then went to the Oquirre Hills Temple Open House. It is beautiful! When i was little i always thought that on that hill would make the best place for a temple, and now look, there is one. What a blessing for all those who live near it. (fyi: i grew up just below the temple on the south side)
Last and definatly not least we are getting windows that open today!!! Thank heavens for Obama and his willingness to pass free money out, we can afford to get new windows in our house. I think these are the original ones from 1910's....i think its time. They dont open due to stupid pervious owners who painted them all shut, multiple times. Yea for a nice nightly breeze through my house tonight!

Family Endevour

Hey all...so my big brother is starting his own little family farm selling fresh produce. If you are in Salt Lake Valley, please make a trip out to see what he has got. He is an awesome farmer and therefore has awesome produce. He is located at 11887 South 4000 W Riverton.....just south of the new Oquirre Hills Temple. Happy 2 Month Birthday!

Kyler turned a big 2 months on Monday. We spent the morning smiling and playing and then spent the afternoon at the dr. office getting mean ol shots, then sleeping and being a little fussy that night...not a nice 2 month birthday if you ask me!
We also got to see how is growing...here are his stats:
Length: 22.5 inches (34 percentile) He is a litte shorty! :)
Weight: 12 lb 10 oz (62 percentile) He is a chubby monkey!
Head: 15 inch (13 percetile) He has a tiny head!! That doesnt mean he isnt a smarty!! :)

He is quite the little boy. We are loving watching him grow...and you almost can (atleast growing in his chubbyness!) :)
Here is a little about him right now.

He loves his belly. Him and Tummy Time are best friends! :) He can hold himself up for a long time now becasue he loves it so much. The dr asked if he could hold his head for atleast 30 seconds....i laughed...Kyler can hold up his entire upper body..and can do it longer than 30 seconds!
Kyler is starting to smile lots more these days. It makes my whole day when he gives me his great big ones.
He loves my black curtians still....they hold his attention for longer than my or Brandons faces! They are having a love affair i swear!
He hates a messy diaper---which mom hates....we change this dude more often than i have ever changed a kid (and i did daycare, and have changed my fair share of baby diapers, and still my they cant hold a candle to my kid!)
He LOVES bath time. This is a welcome change to how he used to feel about them. He is starting to splash and get me all wet these days.
He loves his dad. When Brandon comes near and starts talking, all focus is on him.
He still loves to be swaddled...so he sleeps in a diaper with his swadling blankey on him (we live in a hot box)
He is starting to talk more and more each day. I love to hear his cute little coos. He has the cutest little voice!
He is a serious sleeper. He still is only awake 8 hours on a good day. Healthy, but way sleepy all the time.
He can sleep 6 hours through the night!

Well thats a little about the little guy. Sorry for the long post....this is more like my journal than anything else...so bear with me!

Maternity Clothes

I just found this site from a friends blog, and thought i would pass the word on as well. Bday Party, Cousin, and a Big Smile

Here are some pictures from last night. It was the only other grandchild's 1st bday party on Brandon's side. He is the cutest, happiest little guy! I love the difference between the two of them!! Amazing what changes in only 10 months from now!

Catch up and Camping

Happy Belated 4th of July from my binki baby! :)
Kyler Pooped after all the camping~I put him on his belly to play and that lasted 5 minutes and then wham he was out!
Sadie joined Kyler in slumber, but she did it in his bag i was too slow on getting emptied before she took over it for her nap.

So its been a while...and all i can say is that i have no excuse. We did go camping over the 4th with both sides of the family, and had a great time. Kyler was amazing considering he was only 6 weeks old and roughing it (ok not really we slept in the cabin with my family, and the tent trailer with Brandon's, but that is roughing it for a babe!)
Me and Brandon keep saying each and everyday we cannot believe how fast Kyler is growing. I had to take him to the dr for a rash on his face and they weighed him and the dr could not belive how much weight he has packed on. In just 3 or so weeks he went from the 9% percentile to the 71%percentile. He is now 11.5 pounds! His 2 month checkup is in a week and a half and i honesly cannot weight to see how the rest of him is growing.
Sorry for the lack of pictures... I was a slacker and didnt take many of us caming...i will do better next time!
