Lovley.
The kitchen is semi-done! The rest is finishing touches…like installing the Over-the-range microwave, patching the ceiling where the wire came through to install it, putting a tile back splash on, and toe kicks, and molding on the top of the cabinets, and the two missing drawer fronts by the sink. NEVERTHELESS, it is live-in-able and is so beautiful! I am so happy to have it done! It took 2 ½ months to finish the kitchen and I think that made it all that more desirable and wonderful! J
We HATED the red, black and brown they had in there…it never put off that homey feeling that a home should. Besides that, the cabinets were OLD! They didn’t have runners on the drawers so they were always getting stuck, and I literally had to put all my strength in to open certain ones.
How blessed I am to have a husband that was willing to put in the hours he had to in addition to working so many hours at work (he is working around 50-60 hours a week at work). He did a great job and I am as happy as a meadowlark!

Santa Baby
Last night Santa visited our ward party, and i have wanted a picture of Ky and Santa since Thanksgiving, so i jumped on the opportunity. Me being a very prepared Mommy had my camera just in case, and we went to visit Ol Saint Nick. I handed Kyler over to Santa and he was ok at first, then got a little pouty lip, but never cried...what a brave little guy. I was curious as to how he would react, cause he is a friendly little boy...to everyone except those with facial hair...and Santa has ALOT! :) He tried to pull his beard, but Santa was too quick to and saved himself from being exposed.
Santa will be visiting another family party this year so hopefully i can get a picture with a smile for his "babys first Christmas" ornament i bought him this year!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Rollin, Rollin, Rollin
Kyler has refused to roll from his back to his belly up to this point. I knew he could he is just lazy i think. But as I was sitting here at the computer doing my morning checks online...i turned around to see why he was squaking so loud and he was off the blanket a good foot....i had put him in the middle!! He can do it! Miracles do happen! Now i cant say he is a lazy babe anymore! Happy happy day!

We Teach um Young
Yummy Caffeine Free Diet Dr. Pepper (the can is empty, dont worry)
Ky can drink from a cup like a champ. Now he thinks he can drink anything from my cup....dangerous when he grabs a full cup! :)
Ky had a great first Thanksgiving at Great Grandma Crisps house. He has a little cold, but we still managed to get tons of smiles and laughs out of the kiddo. What a joy he is in our lives!!
Here is one more picture of our little man...I know i post lots, but really this is my journal, and he is my life...so that is why he makes is on here so often.

Half-a-Year Down!!
I am a little slower posting this, I have been trying to do it on the day of his "birthday" but there is just too much going on these days!
I cannot believe my little guy is 6 months old! He is such a joy in our lives. He makes us smile and laugh everyday with his cute personality and smile. At the Dr Monday he was all smiles and happy (little did he know he was going to get shots) and the Dr told me that his smile is one of the best ones he has ever seen...he says "he smiles with everything he has got!" So true. When Ky is happy you know it, weather it is from his ear to ear grin, or his squeals of delight!
Here is his monthly update:
He was a champ at rolling from his tummy to back at the middle of the month....but now he is lazy and wont roll again. Weird baby.
He gets so excited when we go in to fill his little tub with water for bathtime...he bounces in your arms and squeals. He is learning to splash, so watch out!
He is getting so much better to go to bed...if i know he is tired and he wants to fight it, i still nurse him for a bit, then i just lay him in bed, he fusses for 5 min tops and then he is out. YEA! No more tip-toeing in to lay him down and praying he stays out, what a relief for me.
He loves loves food! He hummms when he eats his favorite (squash, sweet potatoes, barley cereal, avocados, and bananas, even prunes)
He now will move his mouth so it looks like he is talking, no sound comes out he is just mouthing words! :)
He loves to stick his hands in my mouth...gross, but he will laugh and smile so big when he scores and gets them in.
Him and Sadie (the dog) are getting to be good pals. Sadie is always good around him, unless he gets her floppy ears and pulls! Then i have to be quick! :)
Well thats all i think for this month....his stats at his 6 month check up were:
Weight--18.9 LB 74%
Length--26.75 inch 61%
Head--16.75 inch--17%--mini head!!
Licking a Cheeto (dont look at my incredible fashion statement of 3 different blues, Ky had spit up all over my other pants)
The other day Ky was being fussy while i was trying to make dinner, so i caved and gave him a teether biscuit...he LOVED it! You should have seen the mess! (our kitchen is freezing while the remodel, hence the hood)
Ky and Sadie...good friends

Messy Boy!
So Ky LOVES food! We have tried so many different foods and the only thing we get good reactions out of is peaches, but i think its cause they are sour...by the time i get him 4 or so bites he is humming away in enjoyment!!
Here is him after being his wiggly self while i try to feed him(thats why he is so messy)
Love this boy, if you haven't already guessed that!!

Happy Halloween!
Kyler had a great first Halloween. It started off with visiting our neighbors who are from Australia and showing him off. They adore him and its like he has another set of grandparents!
Then off to Manti we went.. . . . how great is it to live in a small community that blocks off Main Street to have their trunk-or-treat!! Ky got a little load...i didn't find it necessary to get lots of candy seems how it is me and Brandon that have to eat it and then Brandon doesn't really eat it, so whose hips does it go to...ya you know the answer to that one! :)
Anyway we had a great time with Hueston our nephew and his daddy on our trip around to all the decked out trunks. Then I was getting cold and that means that the little frog was going to freeze soon too so we headed back to Brandon's Grandmas house for her birthday party. Fun, fun night!!
Here are some pictures of our night. and a video if i can get it to work right!

5 Months
So this is going to only have a few pictures...he didn't want to smile today, but i got some cute ones anyway...i have more plans for cuter pictures! So look forward to them! :)
As for the kiddo
~He is sitting up on his own!! Yup i had no idea he could for as long as he can, but today while taking pictures he sat up for 2 minutes straight!! I loved playing and trying to eat all the leaves!
~ He is quite the talker or squawker...he is very vocal at times!
~ He still loves his baths...he is quite the splasher and loves to suck on the wash cloth
~ He is getting super close to rolling from his back to his tummy...just needs to figure out how to move his arm out of the way.
~He can roll from his tummy to his back...he is doing it a little more frequently...wish he would do it more so i wouldn't have to save him so often when he is done with tummy time.
~He loves LOVES little kids. He will just stare and laugh at them. In church Sunday he couldn't get enough of the 6 year old in the bench in front of us.
~We have started giving him fruit in his cereal and he absolutely loves that! He was not loving the plain rice or oat cereal...but now giving him apple sauce in it he scarfs it...literally.
~Sunday he got his first taste of squash and scarfed that as well....he would lean in to get it!!
~He is grabbing for things now, which is so fun. Just have to keep my plate out of the way when he sits with me!!
Well i think that is all for now.

Choose This Day
I just visited lds.org today and this was the clip they had on the site...what an important lesson for us to remember. Today is always a better day to do what we are supposed to be doing. Today is the day that we need to change and be better. These words are more for me than you all, but i thought i would share them with you because if they touched me, they might touch you.

The Sink. . . .A Happy Place
Today Kyler was being fussy and wanted to be close to me...the floor outside of the bathroom would not do today....so what does a mom do so she can still get ready before noon....she becomes inventive!
He loved it. I loved being able to still get ready before noon when he was snoozing!! :)
ps his pants are not floods...he just kicked his legs till they scooted up....he is not a poor orphan with too short of pants!

What Happens in Vegas. . . . . . .
Can be shared on the blog because we are good little Mormons!! :)
Ha ha! Anyway, this past weekend we made the drive down to Vegas. Last year dearest Brandon got suckered into one of those time share phone calls and booked the trip for 2 night for 90 bucks total...plus we got 2 buffet dinners and 30 cash for going to their shpeal. We were going to use the package for our anniversary...but seems how I was slightly pregnant....(ky was born 2 weeks later) we decided to wait till we could go with him as a family. So we booked it for September 25, 26, &27.
Brandon's parents came with us, which was fun and nice to have the two guys to take turns driving!
We had a great time! Kyler got asked over and over if he was a big winner in the Casinos, and i think his head might have grown from all the stares and compliments...an Oriental lady was irritated when i wouldn't let her hold him while we were watching the fountains at the Bellagio. :)
Ky was a great sport the whole weekend. Even all the driving he took with ease. What a blessing he is in our life.
During our visit we ate lots of good food, walked and walked and walked, saw some of the circus acts at Circus Circus, donated some money to the dang games at Circus Circus ( i wanted the Curious George in a banana peal.. seemed like an easy task...but alas we left with less money and no Curious George)... we watched the fountains at the Bellagio, saw the lions at the MGM visited lots of shops on the Strip, and attempted to go to the temple....but bless my dear heart I forgot my recommend which ruined those plans quickly.
Well I always like pictures better than words so here they are
Kyler loved the crinkly lion that Grandma Nancy gave him to play with for the long drive. Thanks mom!!
Home again, Home again....check out his strong neck!! Now if he would roll over again!!
