Christmas 2013

Better late than never.....(this was written in Feb after Christmas)
Ward Christmas Party

This year our ward did a breakfast for dinner and pj party. It was a hit! I loved it. They kids all ready for bed, breakfast is always a popular meal at our house. Santa was comeing. Perfection. We were pretty rushed through seeing Santa due to the amount of kids waiting, but we had to snap some pictures.

Brooklyn not about to let go of daddy

Happy Kids for a moment!

Sunday Before Christmas. Arent they just the best looking group of my off-spring!
This is REAL LIFE (yes brooklyn has pink leggins on. Somedays its not worth the fight. Even on Sunday, especially on Sunday. )

The Childs Christmas Party

Bless Uncle Derek, he played with all the kids while we set things up. What a great Uncle.

Oh how much Kyler was looking forward to chatting with Santa. At the ward party it was too rushed and he didnt get to converse like he wanted to and was descuraged, so i told him when we had the Childs family party Santa would come and he could talk to him all he wanted. Oh, the excitment and joy! It shows in these photos.
Ky gets this collage because it shows the excitement, giggles and pure Santa joy coming from him!
As for Parley he loved Santas beard and wanted a taste, and wanted to make sure it was good and attached to his face ;) Santa wanting to avoid any painful experiences was quick to redirect his attention to his jingle bells and Par was overjoyed. He loved them. Quick save Santa!!
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells
Brooklyn, oh sweetest Brooklyn. She isn't a social gal. And Santa, well, she knows he gives candy so she really wants to like him, she will sit there on his lap long enough to get her sweets and then off she comes. Panicked and all. She enjoyed the rest of the evening protected on Grandmas lap eating her bag of sweet goodness.

Brooklyn and her chocolate. Happy as can be.

Christmas Eve and Day
Before Thanksgiving even came Kyler had informed Grandma Jo (Childs) that we would be having a sleepover at her house Christmas Eve and that Santa would find us there. So, even though i would love to do Christmas morning at my house, we packed all the presents and headed 3 miles down the road to Grandmas house. Ky was so excited. They got to decorate thier gingerbread boys for Santa, played and headed downstairs for bed.
I love Christmas. I get so excited for the kids. It was a blast watching them all morning with their presents. Because it was 2 months ago, i sadly dont remember specifics. But, it was a great day, i do know that. We just stayed in comfys and played with our new toys, and per Ky request even slept over an additional night.

It was matching Jammies for the kids!

wrestling with daddy is the greatest

 Christmas Day Morning
Running in seeing all their goods...take note of that cute elf on the couch in the corner...story about him to come....

 Stocking goodies

The firetruck was for daycare, but Santa wanted to bring it to grandmas house cause I was pretty excited about it.

Grandma Nancy gave them a smaller scale trampoline...they love it. They jump on it outside on the covered porch with their slippers on.

Brookie and her Lala Loopsie bike
Parley was happy, no ecstatic about all the paper on the ground

Ok story....This awesome semi-truck was from Grandma and Grandpa Childs. But Sparky the elf at Grandmas house had crossed Kylers name off the tag and put his....This broke Kylers heart and he and that elf had long chats when we would visit about how not nice it would be If he took that present from him. Then Christmas morning he took the present and hid it behind the couch and sat on it. Ky was quiet concerned when he couldn't find the huge present that had been there the whole month of December and now finally could open it and that darn elf had taken it. Good thing he was a dedicated seeker and found it, opened it and honestly now 3 months later loves that truck to the moon and back.

oh this girl and her chocolate. That is actually all she asked Santa for. He felt she might want toys, but in the end, she was mostly engaged with her stocking and the candy she got there, not with her toys.

the reindeer didn't eat all the carrots we left out, so ky helped himself while waiting for breakfast.

And that's all. I stopped taking pictures and just enjoyed the day with my kids. Merry Chirstmas!

Littlest Man

Oh my little Par Par, I'm so very sorry when you get your monthly update book it will be significantly smaller that the older twos. Its not a matter of love. I love you more than words can express, and i mean that. Its just i work over 40 hours a week, and I'm a mom to 3, and well, I'm just busy and it shows when its been a long time before i update your book. So sorry lover boy.
But there has been a lot going on lately for you....lets showcase you for a minute

* you say "mama" and "dada" to the correct parent. You jabber non stop through the day, and depending on the noise level of the house you talk really loud, really really loud or deafening.
*You just this past week started this sniffle-scrunch your nose-huge smile. Its by far the cutest thing that melts me and your daddy to a wet puddle. It gets you anything you want, its that powerful.
*You are the cheesey-ist happiest smiliest baby. Everyone wants to take you away. They cant help themselves. I have two daycare moms wanting to adopt you the minute i say they can. Its never going to happen.
*You poor little critter have cut both bottom teeth and BOTH top teeth in the last month. 3 of those teeth in the last 2 weeks. You, normally such a happy content babe have had a hard time. I love seeing your teeth. You brother and sister LOVE trying to see them too, but your not too sure about showing them off...your gums are still so sore. They are worried about you biting them now...so they are much more careful about putting their hands in your mouth! :)
*You are still my little man. You are still wearing 6-9 month clothes. Thanks to a friend to donated her baby clothes to us, you are set. Kyler missed the 6-9 month stage...he was huge by now. I am soaking in every minute of your smallishness.
*You give the best slobbery wet and wonderful kisses. I just have to ask and you lay one on me. Oh ParJay how i adore you.
*You love your daddy. The minute he comes in you start that sniffle-scrunch your nose-huge smile and lean towards him. You have a special daddy and you know it! You love to play with him. He throws you all over and you just giggle and giggle.
*You brother and sister adore you. They try to play with you all day long. You love to play with Kyler. But, Brooklyn makes you oh so nervous. She is a little too intense and tends to knock you over when your sitting up when trying to play. You tend to lean away from her or moan when she gets closer, and you even scream out when she starts to play. I hope that changes. Hopefully you two get to be best buds when you can defend yourself from her games.
*You love food. Seems how we started you on food earlier to make up for the lack of moms milk....you are a food champion. You eat everything. You love Graham crackers and rice rusks. You munch up Cheerios and love a sippy of juice. Our beloved pediatrician told me you eat so well we could try you on just milk and bypass the formula completely. No good. Milk makes you puke. No surprise though, you haven't tolerated dairy just like Ky. So we are stuck with moms milk and soy formula. Soon to be just formula. :)
*You just in the last week FINALLY started to roll from your back to your belly. Your legs are so strong from jumping so much that it didn't stop you from getting around though. You would scoot yourself on your back around the house. Hilarious to watch. Now, you can get to your belly you are a scooting whiz. And then tonight you got up on your knees and was rocking....oh my crawler I'm sure will be in the near future. You even will push yourself up onto your toes...like big people do to do a push up! Its nuts. Those strong toes and legs of yours. They are unstoppable.
*You have third child syndrome. You know how to get the attention turned to you in an instant. You often feel left out and have a bit of a fit if your not in the middle of all that goes on in this crazy house. You demand to be held. And, because i want you to not yell that fantastic loud cry i often give in. You have us all wrapped around your finger.
*Your favorite is to rock and drink a bottle before you go down to bed, but you can just be layed down to sleep. I prefer to rock and hold you, you get left on the floor a lot while i run around the house with all the other kids.
*You are a great traveler. You just play with a toy or sleep. Ive either been blessed with incredible traveling children, or you have just adjusted to the insane amount of traveling we do to Salt Lake.

In overview, you are a blessing. You are so sweet and so social. We love every minute of you.

**more pictures to come they are uploading from my phone to the internet and its taking forever. check back tomorrow night, i have to put this up now, or ill forget. Goodnight.
