11 Months!
Better late than never right!
This month has been a full one. But instead of making this a long post i am just going to try and make it short and sweet!
Here are Kylers accomplishments and new tricks:
Needless to say he is getting so SO big. Me and Brandon say almost every night how big he has gotten and how smart he is. I cannot believe he will be one next month! Where does time go!
This month has been a full one. But instead of making this a long post i am just going to try and make it short and sweet!
Here are Kylers accomplishments and new tricks:
He now can FIANLLY crawl on his hands and knees
He can finally get to the sitting position
He Pulls himself up on everything
Occasionally trys to walk along furniture
I am counting him able to say these things:
"Momma", "Dadda", "Da" for dog, "baba" for bottle, and "Hi"
This is a new face he pulls all the time
Jabbers all day long, he can be quite the talker sometimes
Pushes all sorts of buttons, like the power on the computer (quite frustrating), buttons on VCR (now up on top shelf, also frustrating when trying to watch a movie)
Has some serious determination and small motor skills, he will concentrate on a Cheerio and poke it so it gets on his finger, then gets that proud look on his face
Him focusing on something on his finger, i think it is so cute!
He is getting great at his tricks like:
Curling his tongue (thanks to his Aunt Sara who taught him) :)
Blowing spit bubbles (again thanks for Aunt Sara)
Blowing spit bubbles (again thanks for Aunt Sara)
does the Indian sound, ya know where he pats his mouth while making sound
clicks his tongue
Makes the "burrrrr" sound (vibrating lips)
Plays with his lips while making sound
(OK have you ever tried to explain tricks like this in writing....VERY difficult!)
Look of concern while cuz Hueston plays with his toys!
Him covering his ears, this is a common position since his ears hurt for so long! Now it is a habit!

Cheap Thrills
Kyler kept destroying all the piles of clothes i had folded today...his new found abilities to climb, crawl, and such are getting him into much more these days....i needed to get all my folding done and needed a cage for my monkey...i found the closest thing that resembled a cage...and it provided me 10 minutes of laundry folding!

Mesquite Getaway!
To see the pictures better click on them..it should enlarge it till i figure out a better system
This past weekend we got to getaway with Brandons family to sunny, warm, and wonderful Mesquite. We had such a great time playing in the water, and just hangin out takin it easy. Ky had an awesome weekend. After getting tubes in his ears Wednesday he has been pulling himself up like its going out of style, trying to walk along furniture, and has even started to FINALLY crawl on his knees. Although one night he tryed to crawl on the asphalt and now with brused red knees he is taking the knee crawling traveling to a minamum.
Kyler had a blast swimming, even though the water was a little cold he had no problem sitting in his floaty and playin in the water. He is a champ! Hueston, his cousin wouldnt even come near the water, and when you put him in had a bit of a come unglue...Ky on the other hand had no prob getting in and staying in...even when his chin started to quiver!
Brandon spent MUCH of his time working on his new passion....SUDOKO...shame on me for encouraging him to try it and then buying him a book...he was mildly addicted to it the whole weekend. He ended up doing 34 puzzles in the 3 days we were there.
I did buy a word search and enjoyed doing it, but all in all i had a blast in the water with Ky and being able to talk to adults all day long! :) Love being a stay at home mommy, just nice to have big people around to talk to! :)

3 Movies in one!
So here is my movie catch up...its kinda long cause there are 3, but they are my favorite so i am sharing.
What have we been up too??
Well i have pictures of things we have been up to lately, and i dont want to put it off any longer, cause we are headed to Mesquite this weekend, and i will have to blog about that then...and dont want to over look what has already happened. . . . so here we go
This cute little bugger eating some seriously yummy frosting while mom decorated these:
These fun cakes were for these 2 lovely lady's whom also happen to be my cousins who had their combined baby shower this past weekend:
We also got to have lunch this past weekend with the fam for my oh so amazing and beautiful moms bday (we miss you Chase and Missy!!)
and last but not least...Kyler and his cousin Hueston went to see the Easter Bunny and i guess when you live in a small town all you get is super ugly Easter Bunny Leftovers!! :)
(if you look close you can see the little kids face in the middle of the flower, just makes the ugly bunny all that much cooler!)

Hard Lessons Learned
Literally HARD!
Today Kyler has learned the hard way what surfaces are hard. . . . .like:This morning while i was taking my shower he was playing with the shower curtain, pulled himself to his knees and was playing pee-ka-boo then, an odd thing happened...he pulled himself up to his feet (mind you he does this maybe once every other day, not a common thing) He then found it to be very entertaining to pound the inside of the tub, but that was not good enough...so he reached in further and before i could grab him( i was washing my hair) he fell in, ya face first into the tub full of big peoples soap that burns unsuspecting eyes that fell into it. Needless to say he was drenched, my shower came to a quick halt and we both exited the shower for the rest of the day...him with a red nose, red eyes, and a bump on the forehead, me with a half washed body.
Next....
Once he was dressed..again...and i got dressed we went to work...yup playing with the millions of toys he has...but none would to the trick this morning...he had a death wish...he pulled himself up again to his feet ( i am now thinking it will happen much more often!) and fell face first into the basket full of toys...again.... massive amounts of tears...but no bumps this time!!
He learned another....
That is not all that new around this house, actually quite old...he crawled under the fateful mean ol coffee table and smacked his head of the ledge...he does this 10 times a day, you would think he would learn something as basic as crawling under coffee table=pain....
Nope still not done (note this all happened before noon today)
ok i have to add a note to this one...this one was one of the worst...and it was my own fault it happened, not the innocent curious little boy that i love so much.
Ok see that massive piece of wood...well to be exact it is the piece of our counter top that was removed for our sink...yes very big, yes, VERY heavy. I brought it in the other day to bottle chicken....and never took it back out of the kitchen. It was leaning against the wall, and every time i saw it i thought, "i know better, Ky is going to be hurt by it" do you think i listened to myself...nope. So today, after 2 weeks or so of it laying against the wall he found it, pulled it, and it landed directly on his head....oh sad Tigger! He got a good bump on his forehead from it too. Needles to say it is out where it belongs now.
So all in one day i think Ky has had a day full of lessons i don't imagine he wanted to learn!
Here is him from the other day playing in the kitchen, with the chairs...what a cute monkey he is!! (i might be biased)
1. He thought he was so cool playing under the chair!
2. He could not for the life of him figure out how to get out, and like a mean ol mom i told him to get himself out of the mess he got himself into (i did provide lots of encouraging words!)
3. He figured he could lean hard on the dowel and pull up his entire body (the actually getting over not pictured, cause i didnt want a broken head when he finally got through, and went to be right next to him just in case)
4. His super satisfaction that he did it...might i add without mommys help

Top TEN!
Here are the top ten things he has accomplished the last month (not in any particular order)
1. Will make the "wooo" for what the doggie says
2. Climbing on everything, only to his knees though, it is a rare occasion when he will actually pull himself to his feet.
3. LOVES to pull out drawers and pull himself up with it.
Only problem is he doesn't know how to get back down, so he either hits his head or cry's till someone comes and saves him.
4. Got pneumonia5. Got Geardia
6. Has taken 3 different antibiotics, and had 3 antibiotic shots (just in the last 4 weeks!)
7. Visited the Primary Children's GI specialist
No major problems, fewww! Just have to have him tested in 2 weeks to makes sure the Geardia is gone.
8. Is completely weaned....he did it himself...mom wanted to continue....he had other plans! :)9. Loves, Loves, Loves his daddy!
The other day I had to wake him up to take him to the Dr. so I rubbed his back, and then walked over to put diapers in his bag...he sleepily turned his head, said "dada" with a hopeful tone, i said, "no, mama" and he then turned his head away from me and tried to go to sleep again. He loves his dada, and misses him like crazy during the week when he is at work.
10. He can place the shapes in the shape sorter toy! This was a proud mama moment for me! He is one smart cookie! This has been a rough month for us. Ky got sick right after his 9 month mark and seriously, no joke, is just barley getting back into the swing of things. Even on his sickest nights, we were able to get some of the cutest, cheesiest grins out of this boy. I am amazed at how happy he can be at times, when i know he has to be feeling like crap. Don't get me wrong now, he has defiantly had his moments when nothing will make him happy, and just wants to cry and snuggle, but even at 2am, rocking a precious little boy back to sleep, it is a moment that I am grateful i have him, grateful i have someone to worry about, life would be so empty with out this little monkey.
