Grover

This weekend we headed South to my moms for the weekend. She had gotten us tickets to go to the Hale Theater they have down there. So fun. The Theater is a cabin with old choir seats. It was WONDERFUL for a night out without the kids. Thats right, Brooklyn got left for the first date night. It was much needed and we had a great time. Of all small world moments, we walked in and were looking for a seat, and across the room was a good 13 people from our ward/stake....yes is teeny tiny Grover, in the Hale Theater that you have to know it exists and be quick to the draw to even get tickets. So we sat next to them and enjoyed our night out "on the town". Thanks to a great mom for taking the kiddos for us! She is wonderful...she was entertaining a house full of people and yet she was MORE than willing to be the babysitter. Lovely woman!
That was Friday night. Saturday we finished celebrating little Craigys bday with a pinata and a balloon game,

and then headed to Trickle Falls to play in the water. Kyler was in BOY HEAVEN. I loved watching him get his nerve up to jump off the little rises in the river. He did so well and had a blast.

so handsome!!
Mommy do you think i can do this?
Seriously can i say CUTE!
and CUTER!
This is his happy face i rarly catch on camera...and even when i finally do i cut off his body :(

That night we headed home, me and Brandon stopped for a milk shake thinking the poor exhausted little man would be asleep by the time we make it to Torrey...no such luck, so we had to get him something, which is a problem...he is lactose intolerant, meaning no ice cream...but that was our only choice so i got him a small cone. He said "yummy" over and over mixed with, "thank you mommy, thank you!"   This is him enjoying something that will inevitably make him sick later and yes he is half asleep...i laughed the whole time he ate it...he only made it though the top part of the cone before he said, " here daddy, take it" daddy took it and he was OUT, seriously in seconds. Funny, lovely, perfect little lover boy.

Its What Fun IS!

Monday we went to Lagoon with the Childs family and some of the Simondon Family as well. Donald won tickets this year so we all headed up for some fun, and fun we did have. The weather was perfect. Overcast all day, sad that i didnt get a tan at all, but great that Brookie could be out all day and i didnt have to worry about applying sunscrean to Kyler over and over.
We got there right when it opened and got to ride all the kiddo rides without having to wait in any kind of a line. It was perfect. Kyler LOVED IT! I thought maybe he might get a little scared....nope not one tiny little bit. In fact he could not get enough of the roller coasters. He loved the Dragon one and the new Bombora one was one of his favorites... the "bishy one" or fishy one was his favorite. Its a octopus but the gondola cars are fish and dolphins spray you with water. He thought it was the coolest. He rode it 3 times, he couldn't get enough of it. He even rode the Tidal Wave twice.
A big thanks to everyone who took their turns with our kids so we could ride some big kid rides, and a huge thanks to Uncle Derek who held Brooklyn for several hours so she could sleep and not cook in her carseat in the stroller. Thank you thank you thank you.

Lovin Aunt Lisa

The best Aunt and Uncle!

Yup we had a kid on a leash!!

The anticipation was killing them!

He loved the bumber cars...even though he only went in circles the whole time...he had a hard time figuring them out!

24th Camping Trip

The last few years over the 24th Brandon's family has a family reunion with the Simonson side at our cabin up Fairview Canyon. It is always so beautiful up there, and so cool. This year was the same...even more on the cooler side. Beautiful weather. It even looks like spring up there with all the wild flowers just coming out now that the snow finally melted just a couple weeks ago.
Kyler had a blast this camping trip. We went up Thursday, but Friday morning everyone but me pulled out and headed down the mountain, half to work, half to a funeral. So i stayed at the cabin with m2 kids and my nephew. We made stick horses (and i never pulled the camera out to show their cuteness) and played in the rocks all day. They had a good time. Then Saturday we went fishing, and oh the fun Ky had. We took Brandon's dads new toy the Can Am for a ride down to Boulger Lake and did a little fishing. I had my doubts we would catch anything. We have been skunked for almost 2 years straight. But, this year was our lucky year...must have been our little wrangler we had with us. We caught 7 fish in just 2 hours. Kyler had an absolute blast reeling them in, holding them, and even kissing them! :)
Kyler is talking up a storm these days, and is quite funny! We laugh all the time with what he comes up with. Not all of the time does he mean to be funny, but in the end I end up laughing anyway. For example, the first night we were there, we were sleeping in the tent trailer, it was kinda chilly. During the night he had wiggled  out of his sleeping bag and blankets. He woke up and cried out, "Mommy, Me cold, Go home, watch Buzz" Oh buddy its 2 AM no Buzz, no home, just sleep! :) I love watching his personality coming out. He is really quite smart and a really very funny kid.
Overall the trip was a blast. The kids were angels. Brooklyn loved every minute of being held 24/7. I am now reaping the benefits of that, and am not enjoying it, and neither is she! :) Here are some pictures of the weekend.

Our nephew wasn't as fond of the slimy fish. Kayla is trying to convince him to hold it.
Camping couldn't be camping with out a Capri Sun
Kylers two new best friends...Ashley and Alisha
Hueston reeling in his first fish...Ky was a little jealous (ok he was a lot jealous)
The only way we could get the kiddo to hold a fish was wrapping a towel around it...so here he is with his proud catch!@

2 Months

just for my own fun i like to compare the two kids so here is Brooklyns stats:
Weight: 13 lb 2oz(84%tile)
Length: 23 inches (66%tile)
Head: 15.5 inches (78%tile)

Kylers Stats when he was 2 months:
Weight: 12 lb 10 oz (62 percentile)
Length: 22.5 inches (34 percentile)
Head: 15 inch (13 percetile)

So my pretty little girl is bigger than her big brother...this is worrisome...Ky got super chubby super fast after 2 months....so she will be super super chubby if she stays on the same trend! Oh well, i love me some chubby babys!!

Dressed in White

How special and beautiful this little girl is to me. . . .

I love that she look like she just fluffed her dress out..such a pretty girl

This picture is just a preview of her cute personality...she is so fun and cute

SMERK

2 Months
*She LOVES her binki (Ky never took his, i really wanted her to, and now that she takes it i am worried, she LOVES it)
*She is a good sleeper just like her brother was. She often sleeps 7 hours steight, and the other night she slept 9.5 hours ate then slept 4 more hours! CRAZY!
*She loves her brother she smiles when he gets in her face...and she also cringes when he gets close too...poor girl has a lot to put up with from her brother.
*She is getting so super chubby and cute cute cute!
*She is starting to hit at toys on her mat that dangle over her.
*She loves mobiles. She follows them over and over and over. (Kyler never did this once)
* She likes to be held tight when going to sleep. We swaddle her up tight leaving her leggies free and then hold her tight to your chest and out she goes.
*She loves her baths. She smiles when you get her undressed with the water running.
*She also smiles almost every time i am getting ready to nurse her. It makes me giggle every time...she gets so excited for her milk!
*She takes a bottle with ease. Didnt even really have to train her to take one, she just latches right on and sucks away...she is a good eater.
*She gives the most heart melting grins. They have been known to bring this mom to tears. They make me so happy.
She is so perfect. I love being this little girls mommy. I dont even mind changing her outfit when she pukes on it, poops on it, or any of those fun newborn functions that merit wardrobe changes. I have so many cute things we have been given to dress her in, i am afraid if i dont put 2 oufits on her a day i will never get through them all! :) I am quite jealous that she has cuter clothes than me...but i guess as long as one girl in this house looks good thats good enough! :)
