Parley is 9 Months

Parely is 9 months old. This is a little delayed but I have come to decide that is my life now, and it doesn't mean I don't love him and enjoy each step of his development. It just means that now I have 3 kids, a house, dog, chickens, business, paperwork, callings and life that comes before my blogging time. So Parley just know I love you more than life itself. Just have a harder time sitting down to the computer.

Rare to get a smile without a scrunched nose
Parley at 9 months is. . . . . .
*A crawler. It happened quickly when he finally figured it out. He is oh so fast. He will search the house for mommy. One day I was in helping Brooklyn change her clothes and he was calling for me and crying. He crawled from the living room to my room, into my bathroom, out back through the kitchen living room into the play room and finally into Brooklyns room. I was impressed. That is true dedication for a 9 month old!!!
*He is a human vacuum cleaner. I have never, ever ever had a child of mine or in daycare as bad as him at picking things up off the ground and eating them. He picks at the carpet so long he will pull up the fibers of the carpet to eat. I feed him I swear, but this kid. argh is drives me bananas. All the kids (daycare and siblings) are all eyes peeled to see if Parely is picking something up to put in his mouth.
*He has dairy issues like his big brother. Mom hates this. He throws up milk. He throws up yogurt. He can almost handle cheese in tiny amounts. Im hoping it will improve with time.
*He says mom and dad correctly (our pediatrician was super impressed, especially when I told her he has for a couple months.) He is a vocal boy and jibber jabbers all day. The other day I swear he said bear....I swear to it. He reminds me a lot of Kyler and his language development.
*He is finally sleep trained. He had a rough start having to share a room with mom and dad for 6 months and then sharing a room with his brother for 3, but just recently we moved Ky out and it took like 3 nights of not too much drama and he was trained. He is a  great sleeper. He goes down at night about 7-7:30 and sleeps till 830-9 and then goes down for a nap around 11-12 and sleeps till 3. I have never had a baby this young create such a schedule. He sleeps as much as them just goes down tons earlier and takes a longer nap. Weird to have a baby only taking one nap a day, but hey who can complain. I am not a "wake a sleeping baby type person" I think its mean. They are little and need their sleep when they need it. You cant control that. So I've just let them all create their schedules until they are 2 and then I fix them into my daycare schedule....Parely has just don't that naturally which is fabulous.

*He loves his brother and sister. So much. He giggles giggles with them. He loves to be wrestled with, which scares me, but he loves. They roll around with him. Tickle him. Torture him and he loves it all.
*Brooklyn calls him Boo Boo. I love it. Its just her little name for him and she doesn't even realize she does it. Ill ask her what his name is and she will say Parley. I ask her what she calls him and she says Parley. But she only ever calls him Boo Boo when she is playing with him. Adorable. It might stick, for a long long time.
*ParJay loves his daddy. As soon as daddy walks in he is leaping out of my arms at him. He crawls after him and calls his name till he picks him up. Daddy doesn't seem to mind one bit that he is the favorite. :)
*Par eats about anything we give him. He prefers to feed himself, and so that is how we feed him most the time. Just gets hard to think of things to give him that he can finger and still not have to chew much.
He does get mad, and its still cute as ever!!

*He loves to clap. He claps at dinner, when we sing songs, when he is just happy on the floor. I love those chubby clapping hands.
*He loves Kylers trucks and especially his police truck and its loud sirens. He already makes the burrrburr sound when driving the trucks and cars around. This gives me butterflies it makes me so happy to see. I adore him.
*He is an absolute joy. Such a happy happy baby. I have lots of visitors with daycare licensors and educators that come to do trainings. Other daycare parents and they all alike say they just love that baby. So happy, not fussy and that scrunchy smile of his melts about anyone down to a giggle and smile of their own.

His stats at his appointment were:
weight: 18.5 pounds which lands him in the 25%tile
Length: 27.75iches which lands him in the 20%tile
Head Circ. 17.75ish which lands him in the 50%tile

We love you ParJay. So very much. Thank you for blessing our family with your happy easy going personality.
This is a common occurrence at the house...Brooklyn under him making him giggle when she pushes the jumper up
Seriously in love with this truck

He wants to be right there with big brother and his awesome toys...Too bad big brother doesn't always like sharing with a 9 month old destroyer....
When he is out, he is out.

He is pulling himself up to just his knees, so cute. He gets so excited.
"ohhh who is that hansome baby in that reflection!!"
Love my sweet kids
He loves oranges, especially mandrian oranges he doesn't have to work at.
Brooklyn is a great big sister. She pulled the little table over to him the the highchair and brought him endless supply of cheerios.
My favorite picture of all time. Ever. Forever.

love.

Christmas 2013

Better late than never.....(this was written in Feb after Christmas)
Ward Christmas Party

This year our ward did a breakfast for dinner and pj party. It was a hit! I loved it. They kids all ready for bed, breakfast is always a popular meal at our house. Santa was comeing. Perfection. We were pretty rushed through seeing Santa due to the amount of kids waiting, but we had to snap some pictures.

Brooklyn not about to let go of daddy

Happy Kids for a moment!

Sunday Before Christmas. Arent they just the best looking group of my off-spring!
This is REAL LIFE (yes brooklyn has pink leggins on. Somedays its not worth the fight. Even on Sunday, especially on Sunday. )

The Childs Christmas Party

Bless Uncle Derek, he played with all the kids while we set things up. What a great Uncle.

Oh how much Kyler was looking forward to chatting with Santa. At the ward party it was too rushed and he didnt get to converse like he wanted to and was descuraged, so i told him when we had the Childs family party Santa would come and he could talk to him all he wanted. Oh, the excitment and joy! It shows in these photos.
Ky gets this collage because it shows the excitement, giggles and pure Santa joy coming from him!
As for Parley he loved Santas beard and wanted a taste, and wanted to make sure it was good and attached to his face ;) Santa wanting to avoid any painful experiences was quick to redirect his attention to his jingle bells and Par was overjoyed. He loved them. Quick save Santa!!
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells
Brooklyn, oh sweetest Brooklyn. She isn't a social gal. And Santa, well, she knows he gives candy so she really wants to like him, she will sit there on his lap long enough to get her sweets and then off she comes. Panicked and all. She enjoyed the rest of the evening protected on Grandmas lap eating her bag of sweet goodness.

Brooklyn and her chocolate. Happy as can be.

Christmas Eve and Day
Before Thanksgiving even came Kyler had informed Grandma Jo (Childs) that we would be having a sleepover at her house Christmas Eve and that Santa would find us there. So, even though i would love to do Christmas morning at my house, we packed all the presents and headed 3 miles down the road to Grandmas house. Ky was so excited. They got to decorate thier gingerbread boys for Santa, played and headed downstairs for bed.
I love Christmas. I get so excited for the kids. It was a blast watching them all morning with their presents. Because it was 2 months ago, i sadly dont remember specifics. But, it was a great day, i do know that. We just stayed in comfys and played with our new toys, and per Ky request even slept over an additional night.

Opening their Christmas Eve present from Alfie our elf
It was matching Jammies for the kids!

wrestling with daddy is the greatest

 Christmas Day Morning
Running in seeing all their goods...take note of that cute elf on the couch in the corner...story about him to come....

 Stocking goodies

The firetruck was for daycare, but Santa wanted to bring it to grandmas house cause I was pretty excited about it.

Grandma Nancy gave them a smaller scale trampoline...they love it. They jump on it outside on the covered porch with their slippers on.

Brookie and her Lala Loopsie bike
Parley was happy, no ecstatic about all the paper on the ground

Ok story....This awesome semi-truck was from Grandma and Grandpa Childs. But Sparky the elf at Grandmas house had crossed Kylers name off the tag and put his....This broke Kylers heart and he and that elf had long chats when we would visit about how not nice it would be If he took that present from him. Then Christmas morning he took the present and hid it behind the couch and sat on it. Ky was quiet concerned when he couldn't find the huge present that had been there the whole month of December and now finally could open it and that darn elf had taken it. Good thing he was a dedicated seeker and found it, opened it and honestly now 3 months later loves that truck to the moon and back.

oh this girl and her chocolate. That is actually all she asked Santa for. He felt she might want toys, but in the end, she was mostly engaged with her stocking and the candy she got there, not with her toys.

the reindeer didn't eat all the carrots we left out, so ky helped himself while waiting for breakfast.

And that's all. I stopped taking pictures and just enjoyed the day with my kids. Merry Chirstmas!
