15 Months Old

Technically Parley will be 16 months old in 4 days, but hey for now i kinda look like im on track. So we are claiming 15 months!
This baby is a joy. He is so fun. He has us all wrapped around that adorable little body. He is a daddy's boy through and through. He is boy through and through. He has a captivating grin and undeniably darling curls. He is oooed and ahhhhed over where ever he goes for those locks of dark golden ringlets. He might be tiny, but he has a big heart and a bigger scream. He is spoiled rotten and all of us know it and do nothing to remedy it. We adore our Par Par, ParJay, Boo, and/or Parley Jake.

Right now he is. . .
*Finally, after a long awaiting starting to learn words. He can say Dada, Mama (on rare occasions) Tickles, Da (Dog), "adie" (Sadie our dog), Wa-tat (whats that), Na na (which is his blanket, sippy, banana or any of his favorite toys)
*He makes a fishy sound...this is my newest favorite trick of his. I need to record it and post it.
*He has just started loving to read books. Finally!
*He has a big love hate relationship with his siblings. They torture him and make him scream almost all day. Not their fault though....he just has a short fuse with them and starts screaming at them when he is done. They are slow to catch the clue.
*He loves animals
*He LOVES outside and it kills him when the kids go out and he has to stay in with mom. He stands at the door and crys. Its hard to be only 15 months old.
*He is still rocked to sleep. Yup. Spoiled. That ended for the other two when they were tops 9 to 10 months old and sleep trained. He can be layed down. I think..... :) But i enjoy that time with my baby and feel like i need to keep filling that love tank of his until baby brother comes in a few short weeks.
*He loves Teddy grahams, pretzels, rice, avocados, any fruit, snap peas, cucumbers, pickles, tomatoes, corn on the cob, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, and really he will eat anything we give him. Maybe that's cause he is starving to death......
*His ears are pure evil. We have to see the ENT almost every other week for the last 2 months. They are thinking they will take his adenoids out and put bigger tubes in to allow drainage in September. He has thick drainage so it clogs the tubes, making them useless. He has gotten so used to having drops in his ears (we call them tickles and we do them 3 times a day, that is why he knows the word tickles) that you just have to say time for tickles and he lays his sweet little head down on the floor and waits for them. Or when i am rocking him he turns his head both ways after he gets the tickles in and wiggled down into his ear drum. They (the tickles) are even a source of comfort. When he has been so past tired and wont let me rock him or put him down without his horrible heartbreaking cry. I just tell him ill do tickles, and i put 2 drops in his ear and he closes his eyes and just lets that trickle down his ear and he falls right to sleep. And i mean he will fall right to sleep. Weird, sad, and helpful.
*We found out at his 15 month well child check he isn't growing right. He dropped way off the normal curve he has been on. This stresses his emotional mommy out. We are working with dr Bean (whom we adore) to figure out whats wrong and why he isn't growing. She said he is malnourished, therefore not absorbing much of his food. We will have blood tests drawn in the next week or so to figure this all out. He is my tiny little man.

Weight: 20.6 LB which lands him in the 3% percentile!!!
Length: 29.75 Which lands him in the 9%
Head:18.4 which lands him in the 34%

Off To Kindergarten

This is his real happy face. It makes my heart soar.
"Mom im just this much scared right now"
Rewind to when I sent Ky to preschool two years ago. It was no big deal. Really. I honestly was so excited for him that I never even considered that it was sad he was growing up.
Fast Forward to yesterday when up, until we walked into his school and then classroom i was also excited for him and didn't feel the least bit sad. Then we met his teacher. She is darling. I'm so excited for him to have her. But, I wont lie, it took everything inside of me not to burst out in tears. My eyes were full of water the whole time just waiting to escape. I had to keep tilting my eyes to keep the water on my eye and not streaming down my face. My baby boy. My biggest helper. My best buddy. He is starting public school....once that starts it never stops, until a mission, then college and marriage...and then he is gone. Heartbreaking! I made it out yesterday with only one tear filling overflowing my eyelid and Kyler didn't see it. Phew. Today, today i was tougher. :)
I got him up right at 7, he got dressed wanted oatmeal and oj then we took pictures, woke up his sister and brother and headed to the school. Walking down those busy, excited, nervous filled halls was fun. We got to his room, hung up his backpack got his name tag took a picture with his teacher and by then his nerves were totally over run with excitement. He ran over gave Boo and Brookie a hug a quick hug to mom and he was gone.
He came home so excited, so much to say. I love this kid. He isn't the "i cant remember what I learned type" nope. I got to hear detailed stories of what he did with which friend and even retold the two stories they read. He is an awesome kid. I am beyond excited to see how he develops and learns this year.
Kyler and Mrs. Willden

24th Camping Trip

Our last camping trip of the summer was a blast and very wet. Sad that camping is over, thankful I dont have to pack up and go up the bumpy road pregnant anymore. We didnt take many pictures of this trip. But it was a good one.
The kids found that the trailer makes a great riding ramp
Beautiful stormy sky that would pour on us for a couple more hours on our ride
bundled up for the wet ride
Oops i forgot coats for me and Brandon....But he had to drive a 4 wheeler, so he got inventive. It was so cold and wet. I felt horrible for forgetting him.
