Its a..........

What do all these things hint to what we are having?! :)

Yea!! Its a boy. Although i feel a little sheepish that i was thinking it was a girl for a while now, and have to admit I way off, I cannot wait!! We are thrilled that we are having a little boy! We were hoping we would have a boy since we started trying, we think everyone should have an older brother, and now all our future monkeys will have one!
The baby looks perfect. I love the ultra sounds! I cant help to think of the true miracle a baby is. I feel so blessed to have a healthy little one.
More good news is that i am now due the 15th of June instead of the 22nd. I have thought for a while that i was further along than they said, and now there is proof!! Yea at least i was right once during that dr. appointment!! :)
Anyway, there is our good news!!

Yummy Dinner

So last night i wanted to make soup for dinner becasue my dear hubby has not been feeling the best the last few days. Now i had to make two people happy....i have been craving baked potatoes for a week now, and Brandon doesnt love soup, but it ok with thicker soups....so compromise....bake potato soup. It was so yummy!!! I recommend it. I found the recipe at allrecipes.com...here is the link.

Muchly asked for...Even more so dreaded....

Well i finally decided I should get you who have asked off my back in posting a prego pic. My apprehension comes from the fact that i was not skinny to start off with, so to take pictures of me is not a thrilling thing. :) See now if i would have been cute and skinny like my dearest friend who now has a darling little man of 2 months, i would have been less appriehnsive....BUT here it goes anyway, chubby me and our little swimmer! :)Me showing how i really feel about this photo shoot! :) ha ha ha!

Advertisment

So i have to do my duty to help someone out. My reason for doing this is becuase this man did 2 inspections for us, and he went so far beyond our expectations i cant help but to give him a little shout out. He is starting his own business doing home and commercial inspections. He really is awesome and totally worth the money. We honestly got him the first time cause he was the cheapest we could find, and he blew us out of the water.
So here is his information if you ever need a home inspection.
His name is Dale Nelson. http://www.beneaththeshadowshomeinspections.com theshadowinspector@earthlink.net cell number is: 801-540-2994

Lesson Learned

So at my first doctor appointment my doc recommended that i shouldn't lift more than 25 lb while being pregnant......at the time i could have never understood how hard that would be for me to obey. I guess the difficulty in following that direction from the wise man was that i am a do it yourself kinda gal....i don't like to appear lazy to others, or if something needs gettin done and no one will do it.... I will do it.
Well you might be asking why the random post Marci.....well like mentioned in the title I had a lesson to learn. With moving it was incredibly difficult for me to listen to the recommendation and to be honest i over did it then...and i paid for it....i was so sore afterwards, and i remember thinking i learned my lesson....and i think i might have even told my sweet man that i had as well. Sweet Brandon is so good to worry about me and really helps keep me in check with what the doc said.
Well i guess i didn't learn my lesson good enough last month while moving, cause today i took it upon myself to clear the snow off the sidewalk at work in the playground. Now that might seem like a small task to some....but this is not the case (which should have been my first clue to steer clear). This sidewalk has not been cleared since we got back after Christmas and has really needed it, And it runs along the whole fence(making a great bike trail for the kiddos). It has gone begging and i hated to send kids out there on the ice and snow. So today i decided it was a good day to clear it off...cause no one else around seemed to care and it was warm today. Well 2 hours later, i was regretting that decision.
No worries i am good and the swimmer is still a wiggling (P.S. I love that I can feel the little bugger now!!) but man oh man i have learned my lesson now. I am dieing from soreness, and honestly am becoming more aware of the fact that its not about me anymore. I have a little swimming critter in me that i already have to take care of. This has been a really hard lesson for me to learn, but after worrying today once i was done and wanting to die and started worrying after one girl said she went into labor after shoveling snow(although she was 9 months) i decided that this lesson is learned and will be followed without any complaints from me. Brandon is glad that i have learned this lesson, He worries so much about me and the monkey and I hate making him worry. This has been a good experience for me, an eye opener as to the blessing I have to be pregnant and that i need to take care of my little one the best that i can in me as much as i plan on once he/she is here! Funny what teaches us what we need to know the most.
So there is my longer than i expected story. Next lesson i need to learn is to be a whole lot less stubborn....that one might take a while!! :( Thanks for listening to me blab.

Home Owners!!!

Its official we own our first home!! We closed on it On the 11th of this month. Its such an exciting time for us and we just cannot wait to get all moved in. We plan on starting the move this Tuesday and will finish sometime between then and when we go back to work on the 5th of January.
i promised pictures so here they are............
My House

Brandons house

ha ha just kidding!!! These are our ginger bread houses though..... we had a blast making these. Brandon bless his amazing soul made the houses from scratch....no ladies this was not a box we bought....he made the cookie dough and cut out the shapes(with cookie cutters, but still) I am so impressed with him.
Although i think if my dad were alive and he saw how horribly crooked my house is he might be disappointed in me......i don't think i got his construction gene! :) The night we put these together was full of laughs! We had a heck of a time getting them together, but the end result doesnt look too bad!! :)
P.S. I forgot to take pictures of the house, so those are still coming at a later date.

Well while i am posting i am going to say Merry Chirstmas. I dont think i will have time to post again until we move into the house, so i hope you all have a great season. This is such a special time. A time to remember our Savior and the reason why he was born and all that He did with his life. How blessed we are to have someone who loved us as much as he did to come and give of His life for us, and even more how blessed we are that He still lives and loves us today.
Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!!

Here are some pictures of our tree and all my nativities(my favorite part of decorating!! )
