We are taking off in just one week to fly to Vermont for a much needed visit to my brothers and sister-in-laws. This is where you come in handy, what advice do you have for a mom who is traveling with a toddler--a extrememly busy toddler (seriously people at church laugh at us cause he just cannot help it but to be moving, and even say he is defenatly the busiest in the ward, not somthing a mom wants to hear :) )
So besides the cop-out of bennydryl...i really perfer not to needlessly drug my child....bring on the thoughts and your experince on travels with young kiddos....
PLEASE HELP!

First Don't stress - We flew to Hawaii with Beau and most people are super understanding - If they aren't- it is their own problem - If he is still using a binky - take it - great for take off and landing - if he isn't take a sippy cup something for him to suck on during take off and landing - helps with the ear pressure SO much - then toys toys toys - and lots of them and maybe even a few new things to surprise him with - all a dollar is great for this :) - Beau got tired and bored quickly so we were switching it up a lot - It will be good - Have fun!
A caution with regards to Benadryl. Though a common side effect is drowsiness in adults, it can have a paradoxical effect on children making them agitated. We discovered this with Enoch because I was rather anxious when it came to traveling with a toddler and was not above drugging, boy was that a mistake! If Ky like movies take a DVD player SERIOUSLY! While Enoch doesn't fall asleep when he's watching a show, I'm not sure that he's fully conscious either. If Ky doesn't watch movies Ashley's advise is perfect, the sippy cup is key.
